In the third quarter of 2021, the top five Maps and Navigation applications in Oceania showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent trend in weekly downloads, peaking at around 29K in early July and closing the quarter with 27K downloads in the last week of September. The app's weekly active users fluctuated but generally maintained a high level, starting at 649K and peaking at 736K in mid-September before settling at 574K by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 12K and rising to 13K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 340K and ending the quarter at 363K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a stable performance in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging between 11K and 15K throughout the quarter. The app consistently maintained its weekly active users around the 580K mark, showing little fluctuation over the period.

13cabs - Ride with no surge saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 8.6K and reaching 10K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users also showed a positive trend, beginning at 13K and ending at 15K.

My 7-Eleven experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 17K in late June, with numbers fluctuating throughout the quarter before settling at 8K in the final week of September. The app's weekly active users remained relatively high, starting at 177K and ending the quarter at 164K.
